Mark was born and raised in Western Montana and graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.  He married and had a daughter(Allison) and son(Nathan) but lost his wife (Toni) to cancer.  He met and married Susan Alsted in December 2006.

Professional Experience:

Mark served as Data Processing Manager for the property management division of a regional shopping mall developer for 10 years in San Diego, CA.  During that time, he developed numerous computer programs for managing Development Proformas', Leasing Administration, Tenant Receivables as well as Payroll and General Ledger systems.  He seized an opportunity to return to the Northwest and bought a chain of 5 equipment rental stores (Sun Rental Center) in Spokane, WA and Coeur d'Alene, ID which he operated for 16 years until moving to Moses Lake in 2006.  Mark earned his real estate license in 2007 and immediately joined the family business' at Alsted Real Estate, LLC.

Specialization:

 "Property management was just a natural fit for me within the Company" says Mark.  His experience in large-scale management of regional shopping malls has familiarized him with the duties of leasing and managing properties with complex CAM situations.  Commercial property management will, therefore, be Mark's specialty.  A comprehensive computer software program will make it possible to manage multiple properties with separate or common owners and still provide reports by individual property or consolidated by owner.
